Eucharistic Visitors
Eucharistic Visitors are licensed by the Bishop to take the Eucharist to parishioners who are hospitalized, homebound, or ill or recovering at home and unable to attend church. If you would like to have the Eucharist brought to you, please call or email Julie at the St. Mark's Center (843-379-1020 or stmarksc@gmail.com). Guidelines for Licensed Ministries can be found here.
Pastoral Visitation
Please contact Julie at the St. Mark's Center if you or someone you know would like a pastoral visit at home, in the hospital or elsewhere.
Prayer Team
Presently we have eight people dedicated to praying for those on our prayer list. This is one ministry that can be done at home. People on the prayer list will also be prayed for at the Wednesday Healing Service. Prayer Team members pray confidentially in response to requests from parishioners and others for individuals, families, and friends who are ill, recovering, in treatment, or otherwise in personal or family crisis. If you wish to place someone on the prayer list or would like to join the Prayer Team, please contact Paula Guerry at paula.guerry@yahoo.com or 843-812-8288 or call the St Mark’s Center during office hours. If no one answers, please leave a message on the recorder. We will keep names on the prayer list for one month, but do not hesitate to let us know if the need is for a longer time.
Helping Hands, Bereavement and Comfort
St. Mark's has a faithful band who organize quickly when notified of a need due to loss, illness, hospitalization or recuperation. Meal preparation and delivery, as well as other offers of assistance, are never far away. Email, call or text one of the co-chairs of the Congregational Care Team: Sally Domby (919-791-9105/swldomby@yahoo.com) or Mary Smith (706-255-8967/missmarymac2008@gmail.com).
