The Feast of Pentecost is often referred to as the birthday of the church, as it marks the day that the gift of the Holy Spirit was given to the apostles who then went out and began spreading the word. Beginning on this year’s Day of Pentecost, Sunday, May 28 (Memorial Day weekend), we will revert to our summer schedule of one service at 10 AM. A covered-dish picnic will follow after the service to celebrate this important day in the church calendar and mark the beginning of summer.
