Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

In case you're wondering why we eat pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (the day before Ash Wednesday), it's because we follow the old English custom of using up all the fattening ingredients in the house before Lent so that we're ready to fast. With that in mind, get ready for pancakes and all the trimmings from 5-6 PM outside on the Green on March 1. Ken Kraft is field testing sausages even as you read this. We'll need a headcount for buying purposes, so look for a sign-up survey in a couple of weeks. The supper is free, but any donations are designated for the Rector's Discretionary Fund.
